My hairdresser Jill is just starting out in a chair at a salon and the last time I was there getting all dolled up, we got to chat a bit about marketing. We formulated a plan to create a web presence for her as well as some fun client info cards, referral cards, etc. The best part of the plan: Step 1 – PHOTOSHOOT!
Jill is not only great with hair and make-up, but awesome with people is well. I wanted her energetic and enthusiastic personality to shine in her images and I had a blast styling the shoot by gathering props and designing how I could best show off who she is!
We did a mix of some basic promo shots with some more specific ones: her holding a cupcake to send to clients on their birthdays, some holiday themes for marketing purposes (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) and some other random ones we thought of on the spot!
A photo taken in advance to celebrate her first 100 likes on Facebook. I figured I’d get to post it a few days after we launched her page… nope! This girl got 131 likes in her first 24 hours!
A little cupcake action for a card she can send to her clients the week before their birthdays with a special little Happy Birthday discount!
Here come the Holiday promos! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas (who wouldn’t want to be under mistletoe with this girl?) and New Years!
Here is Jill with some headbands from the dollar bin at Target. She’ll be posting some fun posts about hair and makeup how-to’s as well as product recommendations!
A pretty standard headshot (okay, I allowed more head tilting than usual because it wasn’t for an actual headshot) that she can use on her site…
Thinking ahead for a Last Minute Sale (Christmas gift certificates a few days before, or perhaps a last-minute hair color treatment right before Valentines Day) we shot this image!
And just a few more fun promo photos for her page. Thanks Jill for choosing The Rock Studio to help you on your journey with marketing! You’re gonna do great! xoxo
